The images you are about to see were created by children at Beth Jacob Synagogue who listened to Sydelle Pearl tell her story, “Joseph the Potter”, from her book, Elijah’s Tears: Stories for the Jewish Holidays (Pelican Publishing Company, 2004). The children were given clay and asked to make the bird that Joseph the Potter made as a gift for the old blind man in the story.
